THE PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER
On PBS, a tale of racial struggle
By David Bianculli

The other noteworthy aspect of The Killing Floor is that, as the first of six proposed dramas under the umbrella title "Made in U.S.A.," it is partly funded by such organization as the United Steel Workers of America and the United Food and Commercial Workers. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that The Killing Floor is blatantly pro-union.

It is, however, more accurate than most TV docu-dramas, it even proclaims proudly, during the program's epilogue, that “no further information could be found” about many of the central characters of the drama. When the facts run out on most TV movies, the story keeps going.
